Bolt blue

When the lights in John’s office went terribly glitchy one early evening, it meant a chance encounter with a local electrician who schooled John in the basics of Modern Living. The key, he said while tinkering with a few wires, is to appreciate the things with enough integrity to last through thick and thin. Sure enough, a few minutes later, he flicked a switch and the room shone bright as new. Seeing the light, both literally and figuratively, this sent shockwaves pulsing through John’s body and he quickly sketched up a tenacious design, thanking the electrician profusely for his skills and candor. Crafted in Portugal from smooth aniline and patent leathers, the aptly named Bolt is a contemporary slingback with a geometric mesh cutout on the upper and a 3" bolt-shaped, acrylic and wood heel. Living in a simple reality.

Als die Lichter in Johns Büro eines frühen Abends ausgingen, bedeutete dies eine zufällige Begegnung mit einem örtlichen Elektriker, der John in den Grundlagen des modernen Lebens unterwies. Der Schlüssel, sagte er, während er an ein paar Drähten bastelte, ist, die Dinge mit genug Integrität zu schätzen. Nach ein paar Minuten drückte er einen Schalter und der Raum leuchtete wie neu. Als er das Licht buchstäblich und im übertragenen Sinne sah, pulsierten Schockwellen durch Johns Körper und er entwarf schnell ein hartnäckiges Design und dankte dem Elektriker ausgiebig für seine Fähigkeiten und Offenheit.

Der in Portugal aus glattem Anilin und Lackleder gefertigte Bolt ist ein zeitgemäßer Slingback mit einem geometrischen Netzausschnitt am Obermaterial und einem 7,6 cm Absatz aus Acryl und Holz.
